The Attic Insulation Shield must be installed where the chimney enters the attic space in any installation. It is designed to keep insulation away from the chimney, and to maintain the mandatory 2" clearance to combustible materials.
The Attic Insulation Shield must be used when installing through a second floor and when fully extended, it provides joist shielding. It is durably constructed of 304-alloy stainless steel and a mineral wool insulation blanket that is formulated for optimum performance. The wool insulation also dramatically reduces chemically active ingredients. Measures 5" Diameter.
