Savor a smooth green tea seasoned with natural Malabar spices. This Bengal Club Chai Matcha Loose Tea Leaf has a peppery and saucy finish to make tea-time more enjoyable with friends and loved ones.

Taste the richness of this tea infusion by serving it in different ways:

Serve it through the Hot tea brewing method. Bring filtered or freshly drawn water to a rolling boil, then let it cool to roughly 180 F or 82 C. Place approximately a teaspoon of Matcha in your cup and infuse with 8 oz. or 250 ml of water. Whisk the brewed tea briskly and enjoy.

Prepare a Ceremonial Matcha. Please note that in order to brew Ceremonial Matcha, you will need a set of Japanese tea ceremony tools such as bowls, scoops, and a whisk.

    • Prepare the tea bowls by warming them with boiled water.
    • Get your Matcha whisk ready by soaking its tip in the boiled water in one of the bowls for about 10 seconds.
    • Pour the water out and dry the bowl with a paper towel.
    • Add 2 teaspoonfuls of Matcha to each bowl.
    • Pour 1/3 of a cup of your hot water into each bowl.
    • Submerge slowly any loose bits of Matcha that may be floating on the surface of the tea.
    • Whisk the tea more briskly in a back and forth motion until the surface of the Matcha becomes frothy.
    • Consume immediately. In Japan, it is customary to drink the entire bowl in three quick slurps.

Concoct your tea with the Hot Matcha latte fast brewing method. Use 1/2 teaspoon or 1 gram per 8 oz. or 225 ml serving. Add 1/2 teaspoon or 1 gram to the base of the cup and add 2 oz. of hot water. Mix them vigorously to make a smooth paste-like liquid. Top this blend with freshly steamed milk or a substitute, and sweeten to taste using maple syrup or honey.

Make a refreshing blend with the Iced Matcha latte brewing method. Use 1/2 teaspoon or 1 gram per 8 oz. or 225 ml serving. Add 1/2 teaspoon or 1 gram) to the base of the cup, then pour 2 oz. of hot water on it. Mix heartily to make a smooth paste-like liquid. Enhance the mixture with freshly steamed milk or a substitute, and sweeten to taste. Let the infused tea cool for 30 to 60 minutes, then pour over ice for an invigorating finish.

Cool down the summer heat with the Slow brewed iced Matcha method. Place 3 level teaspoons of Matcha into a glass pitcher. Fill the pitcher with ice and let sit. After a few hours, ice will have melted and tea brewed. Stir the mixture vigorously to ensure the Matcha goes into suspension. Pour over ice once again and enjoy.

The caffeine content of this tea is MEDIUM. This tea contains natural caffeine found in the L. Camellia Sinensis family. A cup of green tea steeped in boiled water for 5 minutes will contain between 22 to 29 milligrams of caffeine. An equal-sized cup of coffee will contain between 80 to 100 milligrams of caffeine. Caffeine quickly becomes soluble in very hot water. If you wish to reduce the caffeine level in this tea, briefly rinsing the tea leaves in extremely hot water will reduce the caffeine content between 25-50% with only a minor effect on taste.

This tea's antioxidant content is VERY HIGH. When consuming matcha you actually consume all the tea leaves. Scientific testing in Japan has indicated that on account of this fact the antioxidant benefit of matcha can be up to 5-9 greater than with normal green tea consumed in a conventional manner.
