It holds a 70-foot flagpole with a 16-inch pole diameter steadily, requiring 1-foot of the flag pole to be encased in the ground sleeve for every 10 feet of exposed flagpole height. The diameter of the sleeve should be at least 2 inches greater than the outside diameter of the flag pole, while the area between the sleeve and the flagpole filled with dry sand. This foundation sleeve comes with a steel base plate, ground spike, steel support plate, and steel centering wedges to reinforce your flag presentation stably into the ground. To properly and easily install this foundation sleeve, please read the enclosed instructions carefully.
