Spitfire Installation Instructions
The Spitfire Fireplace Heater with 4 tube Blower is easy to use and simple to install. The inside dimensions of your fireplace should be at least 1 to 2 inches wider on the sides and back than the heater itself. Then assemble the blower tubing to the heat exchanger tubes and place the unit into your fireplace. You will want to place the heater in the center of the fireplace with the tube protruding out of the front opening.
The blower can connect to the right or left side of the unit. The tube is flexible and will stretch to a longer length to be able to install into almost any project.
Place wood on the unit's base and start a moderate fire which will achieve your best efficiency in heat
production. Be sure the damper is in the OPEN POSITION BEFORE LIGHTING THE FIRE. There
will be a smell as the first burn will burn off the oil in the tubes. This is normal. It is recommended to use a high temperature silicone sealant to make sure that all the connections are sealed properly. This will help increase the amount of warm air that is pushed into the living space.
A Fireplace Screen should always be used when a fire is burning and the Spitfire Fireplace Heater is in operation. Check out our selection of Fireplace Screens.
If you need help selecting the proper Fireplace Screen then check out the Choosing a Fireplace Screen article on our Resource Center.

Is a blower on a fireplace worth it?
In most fireplaces, the majority of heat is lost up the chimney system. By utilizing a blower system such as the Spitfire Fireplace Heater - 4 Tube with a blower, you are able to push a lot of the warm air into the living space. The other benefit of a tube heater is that it is pushing clean convection air into the room, while the exhaust is still sent up the chimney.
How does a fireplace blower work?
The Spitfire Fireplace heater tubes act as a heat exchanger and as the fire burns above them, the steel tubing heats up and the attached blower unit pushes the warm air into the living space.
How to install fireplace blower?
The Spitfire Fireplace 4 tube heater with blower is easy to install. All you have to do is connect the blower to the heat exchanger tubes via a flexible tubing and plug the blower in. Also here are the Spitfire Installation Instructions.
When does fireplace blower turn on?
