4-Ft. x 6-Ft. Swaziland Nylon Flag

The 4-Ft. x 6-Ft. Swaziland Nylon Flag, now known as the country of Eswatini, features a horizontal triband of blue at the top and bottom with a yellow-edged red middle field. A large black and white Nguni shield sits at the center covering two spears and a staff decorated with feather tassels called injobo or tassels-bunches of feathers of the widowbird and the lourie. The shield, staff, and two spears represent protection from foreign adversaries. The blue color stands for peace and stability, red for the country’s past struggles, and yellow portrays the mineral resources of the country. The black and white colors of the shield pay tribute to the black and white people living in peaceful coexistence in Eswatini.
